Web Services Lite - Free & No ID Required

We have launched our "Web Services Lite" set of Web services aimed at quick, easy, and free adoption of our Web Services Marketplace and platform. Each of the services contain useful subsets of our premium Web services and require no user authentication for use (we simply throttle by IP address against over-usage). These Lite services are essentially mini-services that are ideal for use in demos, how-to guides, sample applications, mashups, widgets, or any other entity that you want someone to use right away without the user first having to obtain user credentials. This of course makes tutorial applications especially more effective as an example. Any application, Web site, mobile device, or any other mechanism that can consume a SOAP-based Web service can consume one of these Lite services.

Some examples of the first set of services we have released include population demographics by zip code, historical currency exchange rates, zip code information, loan interest rates, phone information, and more.

The services are available here: http://www.strikeiron.com/Marketplace/liteservices.aspx

We are making these services available to drive additional adoption of our Web services platform as we continue to make the infrastructure investments to support the ongoing usage, as well as serving as introductory teasers for our more data-heavy premium Web services (the ones you pay for).

Also, if you have Web services and data that YOU would like to make available to the general public in a freely available easy-to-integrate manner, check out our IronCloud Platform. A great way to get the world to integrate your data.
